Christmas Pictures

As per tradition we spent Christmas Eve at Mom and Dad Hantla's.  Here is Johnathon with his favorite Arizona Grandma!

Mom/Grandma Hantla got Chris and Johnathon matching outfits that say "Big Guy" and "Little Guy".  So cute, I'm a sucker for matching outfits!

Christmas morning we opened presents, just the three of us.  Santa even brought something for Hans!

It's no secret that Chris enjoys sports, his first word was ball.  So... he is helping Johnathon build a love for everything sports.  These little nerf balls are the perfect size for a budding athlete!

Here is our favorite little Christmas present with most of his gifts.  We had a really great Christmas!  I can't wait until next year!

One Happy Mama

It's hard to describe in words what it feels like to watch this healthy little boy grow and learn.  The excitement I feel when he finds something new makes every day worth it.  Of course, before Johnathon every day felt "worth it" but now I have a reason to be amazing every day.  I want the best for him which means I have to be my best every day in every way.  Of course some days I feel less than worth the amazing family I have the amazing fortune of being in, but that's all the more reason to feel amazing.  So as I watch my little boy grow and my path as a mother unfold I feel excitement and hope.  The gift of Johnathon's health and happy demeanor, along with my stable and happy marriage, makes me look forward to having another little one in the future.  That is a gift that is un-describable!

"The bringer of the Hantla News"

I suppose the first post should lay the ground work for what the blog will be about.  A Herald brings the news, so simply put: this blog brings the news of the Hantla family.  I'm sure it will be a full and exciting blog with just the news that Chris, Johnathon and I have to share, but I would love to include the rest of the family.   I hope to have guest posts from the other Hantlas as well as the Carters, Viquesneys, Holts, Durands, Foremans, Hendersons, Reids, and Whitons.
The first post would not be complete without a picture of our wonderful son Johnathon!                      Happy Halloween!
